KALEIDOSCOPE ACTORS' Original Webseries

One of our main goals is to not only work with and bring to life other writers' scripts, we also want to create a space to write our own material. The 4 of us will be writing our own scripts, casting and producing our work. At each 10 FEET UNDER, we'll read from one of the scripts. At the Aug event, we read from Cindy's 1st script "Old Friendships Die Hard." Cindy wrote the script purely by inspiration and it has since been workshopped numerous times by other writers and artist friends. We are now in pre-production having secured a director and in weekly rehearsals. You can see Cindy's piece read at the reading via our Youtube channel - KaleidoscopeAct.

10 FEET UNDER TONIGHT!

Tonight's the night! Our 5th "10 Feet Under" event will go down starting at 6:30pm in the Bridge Theatre at Shetler Studios (244 W 54th St b/w 8th Ave & Broadway, 12th FL). We have a FULL event so please be on time. The cost of admittance is $10, $15 includes a glass of wine. Come see what all the hype is about!

We received a very gracious email from guests from our very first "10 Feet Under." They were a couple from Finland visiting the city. Lodric & Dave were doing some street team promotion for our event...we had a pretty light crowd considering it was our 1st event AND it was raining. The guys convinced this couple to stop by our event. Check out an excerpt below...and for more details about tonight's event, check the previous post. See you soon!

A few months have gone by since we were in NYC, and it has been so great to hear (by email from kaleidoscope actors :) that you guys got it all started. We were honoured to witness the first 10 FEET UNDER night back then in the Village - Caffe Del Mare - and for us it was an unbelievable and speechless night, you guys just rock (hope that the OM Factory yoga giveaway went to good hands ;)!! We've been watching you lately from youtube, and it is so nice to see that things are going great!!
- Jenni & Sami from Finland

SAVE THE DATE...We'll be back Aug 31 for another round of 10 FEET UNDER. Our reigning "re-funk" champ, CHRISTIAN DAVIES, opened fire on the competition at our July event. Here's a little information about the sharp shooter:

Christian grew up in Cincinnati and has a big affinity for anything related to his hometown. His favorite things in the world are books, movies, country music, and rock 'n' roll. As a result, he spends his waking hours writing various things and trying hard to get through his beginner's guitar book. He is currently on a Stieg Larsson kick and will be starting an Apprenticeship with the Barrow Group in the Fall.

Be ready for battle on Aug 31.

10 FEET UNDER presents our "RE-FUNK" winner - Christian Davies

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our last 10 FEET UNDER event on Tues, July 27. Both the performers and the audience were great. CONGRATS to actor CHRISTIAN DAVIES who won our 1st official "RE-FUNK" competition. It was a tie between actors Christian and Zeshan Bhatti. In the end Christian's narcoleptic Greek football coach in a men's locker room beat out Zeshan's blind Indian telephone operator at an ice skating rink. Confused? Check out our youtube page for a short clip about Kaleidoscope Actors' "RE-FUNK."

10 FEET UNDER

As you know KALEIDOSCOPE ACTORS was created to EMPOWER actors and artists. "10 FEET UNDER" is yet another means of doing so.

“10 FEET UNDER,” is an opportunity for artists to work and network with other artists (actors, directors, comedians, etc.). Bring your monologues, stand up comedy, songs, prepare a scene with a classmate, and bring it to the stage. We want actors and artists to use this outlet to try new characters, accents, songs, etc in a supportive environment. Or you can just stop by, grab a drink, and watch some awesome artists work and play. One performer and one audience member will receive a free one-week trial yoga pass to OM Factory www.omfactorynyc.com.

Sign up to perform by forwarding an RSVP to Kaleidoscope.Actors@gmail.com.

It's gonna be AWESOME!
